I am running for Leon County Commissioner because I love Leon County, I’m raising my family here, building my businesses here, and I believe we can make this the flagship local government to lead our state as a Capitol city should!
I have 20+ years’ experience working in management and leadership for corporations such as Walmart, starting up and running my own businesses. I have helped coach and consult for other people running their businesses.
I have 10 years working in government regulation. I’ve written proposals that later became statute and administrative code. I understand how government regulations impact business in good and bad ways.
I know what it means to be a government employee here in our community, working with lower than average wages and no cost of living increases for years at a time. I have also worked with amazing non-profit organizations in our area and seen what they are doing to improve our community.
I’ve seen where the real work gets done at every level, and I know how to support the people doing that work!
As commissioner, I will put all my experience to work to support our entrepreneurs, support our state workers, and support those boots on the ground making a difference in the non-profit community.
I will be accessible and get everyone to the table to hear their concerns. I will put the right resources in the right areas to improve our community. I’ll do this without spending a bunch of taxpayer money or creating new bureaucracies, because I know where the real work is getting done.
We need to listen to those already out in our communities, and we need to support those already doing the great work. Government should be a facilitator, not a creator.
Tallahassee is rich in heart, education, hustle, and innovation. The community is getting it done right now, and I will move government to support our community.
